Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® is proud of her more than 1,085 chapters and more than 365,000 members in 13 nations and all states. By uniting individual efforts, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has built a strong, cohesive organization that positively impacts the lives of families and communities. The Sorority’s success is based on the depth of commitment, vision and confidence of its members.
Alpha Kappa Alpha seeks women who will promote, uphold, and extend its policies and programs. In return, the Sorority is a conduit through which individuals can grow and develop, personally and professionally, while simultaneously providing “Service to All Mankind.”

Reactivating Members
We are a proud legacy of sisterhood and service, and we're overjoyed to welcome our sorority sisters back with open arms! If you're interested in reactivating with Eta Rho Omega Chapter, we'd love to have you join us. Please contact us at sanjoseaka@gmail.com to receive the Graduate Chapter Reactivation Form. Once completed, submit the form to the our chapter along with a money order or certified check that includes all applicable reactivation fees, chapter dues, and assessments. We can't wait to reconnect, reignite, and continue serving together.
Transferring Members
Members wishing to transfer from undergraduate chapters, other graduate chapters, or from general membership are warmly invited to join us! You're welcome to attend our chapter meetings - exclusive to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® - or connect with us through our community service events, which are open to the public. To complete your transfer process, please have the President or Treasurer of your previous chapter complete the Transfer Verification Form. Members transferring from General Membership to a chapter must first obtain clearance from the Alpha Kappa Alpha Corporate Office. Our Membership Chairman is happy to guide you every step of the way! Prospective Members
Candidacy for membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® graduate chapters is open to women of high ethical character and strong scholastic achievement. Eligible candidates must hold a baccalaureate degree (with at least a C+ cumulative average) or a graduate or professional degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., J.D.) from an accredited college or university, and demonstrate a commitment to making a meaningful contribution to the sorority's mission. Please note that graduate membership is by invitation only and may not be solicited.
